Laughing through the tears

A poem for my friend D Elicious

Laughter is the best medicine
yet not a potion, pill nor shot
but when you need uplifting
then for you a smile I've got
it's in a little wooden box
tied with ribbons and with bows
and you will grow to fit it
take it from one who knows
pain is what has made us
and failed to make us break
so exorcise your demons
and pen out your heart ache
tomorrow us another day
the past is dead and gone
so take to heart my words my friend
and know that life goes on
so let friends guide and guard you
let your muse help set you free
and know now and always
in your shadow I will be

Hell yeah, that is what the "Poetic Mafia" is all about! We have to have one anothers back, this is a dark world and us the dreamers alwalys get walked on. I for one don't like it one bit.... but .... the meek shall inherit the earth!
