King Of Lies

King Of Lies

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

First Sin

"

First Sin was not invented
it was of jealous born,
whom with all their might
blood shed that night
tainting the breaking dawn.

Heaven cast down her Angels
and as the stars they fell,
and within their death
their fetid breath
alit the fires of hell.

The dancing shadows twisted
within the fallen's cries,
to forever seal
the wretched deal
with the Black King of Lies.

For man was made of monkeys
and angels made of love,
but some learned of hate
beyond the gate
as raven fought with dove.

The clouds were torn asunder
as Heaven split in twain,
as the seraphim
slew cherubim
whilst feeding on their pain.

The mountains rose to meet them
the oceans ebbed and fell,
and all this for what
eden forgot
to never kiss and tell.

I like this piece, as I do most from you, but I have pondered what sin was actually the first sin, and I think that it is misgiven trust. man's first problem was trusting a woman, and woman's first problem was trusting a talking snake... She should have left the apple alone and taken the snake to Adam and shown him that!
