Night Fell Weeping

Night Fell Weeping

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

Oh why must the day always intrude on sweet sleep

"

Dawn broke ~
                    the silence gone

as night fell once more ~
                                  weeping a-dew

to rise trumpets from their sleep,

heralding the light
                           from perfumed tombs

                                       and

                              filth strewn beds.

The must of morning

                                filling the nose

                 with the stench of death.

Night can bring such comfort...wrapping us in her warm cocoon, as wrapped in the arms of a loved one. Or it can bring long lonely hours just waiting for the hope of dawn. Well done.

Are you kidding me, Shadow? Dreams don't die when you wake up. When I'm awake, I believe I dream more than I do when I sleep. :3 Daydreams are wonderful things to behold, especially because you can control them. I guess that's the beauty of dreams: they're unpredictable.

Back to the poem: I thought it was a lovely tribute to waking up. I do view waking up from a deep sleep as almost obtrusive. When I fully come to, I don't feel the need to sleep anymore. My deep sleep has satiated my body's thirst for dreaming.

I liked this one, I hate when i am forced to wake up and leave the comfort of my dreams. but on the flipside cannot wake up soon enough for my nightmares... I am a malcontent!
