Bind the Moon

Bind the Moon

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

Night hides all except the pain

"

Transluscent tear drops taint the rain,

oppressing me through windows pane.

In shared absence of warmth and light,

once more as one we greet this night.

Draw the blinds and blind mine eyes

to the emptiness as sunset dies.

Shake loose the stars and bind the moon,

they bring the ache of you too soon.

I love this poem. Even though we run out of day, it only brings the night containing the moon and stars and promise. Keep on penning.
