Jacob at the MoviesA Poem by InyourshadowJust another outing for my museOh come now Jacob, tie your tie, tuck in your shirt, oh please just try. Straighten your pants, there thats better, now put on your favourite sweater. Pull up your socks, fasten your shoes, for see there is no time to lose. Keys and wallet, wheres my glasses? and oh no our movie passes. Here they are, shesh I am silly, grab your coat as it looks chilly. Now car or cab, maybe the bus, oh what to do, oh what a fuss. Why not just walk, enjoy the night, work up ourselves an appetite. Butter popcorn by the bucket, giant sodas, sip or suck it. Then theres the nachos I can't wait, oh lets not dawdle and be late. Now here we are, show the passes, now for the treats, yikes theres masses. Now what to have? Oh what to eat? Lets have them all, of course my treat. Paid and rushing, find our places, as the film lights up our faces. Rustling bags and slurping soda, Cola taste and corndog odour. So leave us be, let us relax, in ciniscope and now Imax. © 2011 InyourshadowAuthor's Note
