Losing You

Losing You

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

I have a friend I cannot hold when she needs it most.

"

No adhesive made of man
could er' reattach
each fragmented shard
of this...

a mirror held up to me
in your pained eyes.

Shattered
you slump into unmown grass
that grows
around weariness of feet
itching to run...

to flee

leaving footprints
pained
scarring virgin flesh.

Retracing your steps
I find
a single tear drop
framed upon wilted rose
and weep

...where are you?

This is for my friend she knows who she is and I wish I could do more than just tell her it will be alright, arms cannot cross the oceans as easily as can my words.
