Intrusive SunA Poem by InyourshadowA sonnet where a new day is not always a good thingI awake before the breaking dawn, to steal a moment from veiled night. Drinking in the ambience, of your presence beneath moon-light. Knowing too soon you have to leave, and I too must face the coming day. But yet for just an hour or two, I can still hold you close this way. Snap shots taken with the lovers eye, n'er fade nor need the albums clutch. As once more I frame your sleeping face, and ease your dreams with tender touch. So let not the sun intrude and rise, as I kiss sleep from gentle eyes. © 2011 InyourshadowAuthor's Note
