Mosaic Works Of HeartA Poem by InyourshadowJust what do you do with all the broken pieces?I will make of you poor heart, a classic piece of teenage art. mosaic formed from broken shards, and teddies torn and ripped up cards. his late night calls and popcorn kiss, a ring of gold with no promise. withered blooms and ribbons faded, all my hopes and dreams left jaded. chocolate box held fantasies, and whispered love on summers breeze. nights by the lake with smokes and brews, crumbled clothes and cast off shoes. virginity and trust in men, who lust not love then leave again. the swing the creek the time with friends, the crying when the laughter ends. add them all and yet there's space, to stick a picture of his face. his eyes gouged out his features scarred, now beat again I know it's hard. for when again the pieces break, I will again mosaic's make. © 2011 InyourshadowAuthor's Note
