Hearth and Heart

Hearth and Heart

A Poem by Inyourshadow

Sit with me by open fire
and fan the flames with whispered word,
there teach to me the art of love
as my heart prays my plea is heard .

Gentle fingers frame my face
and draw from lips my unspoke thought,
as you and I by fire light
lay soft and close as lessons taught.

Such a wonderful image you have painted with your tender words. Great rhyme and flow. Keep on penning.

Nice! I might just remove the AND in the 3rd line, but it is personal choice. I like this, the emotion here is strong and comes across.
