A jester in a court of kings

A jester in a court of kings

A Poem by Inyourshadow
"

A love sonnet

"

Soft what plight my tender heart now breaks
Tis but three words in stolen moments found,
that unfetted tongue may speak of my desire
delivering my heart in reverent sound.

Morning light fasceted in perfect emerald eyes
That from their ivory settings bid me speak,
leaving me a jester in a court of kings
as words falter leaving conviction weak.

Kisses calm the spirit adding strengh of resolve
to fear not the mocking laughters chime,
I lean close warm breath on perfect neck
whispering words spoke soft in fractured time.

Ache of aches is moments loosened uncertainty,
as your reply gives me your heart throughout eternity.

Really love it, the use of words is great and rustic, ornately wonderful and stunning in their meaning and weight. Great mix of language and techniques used to bring a melodic point.

A wonderful love sonnet in the style of The Bard. Well penned. Keep up the great work!
