Forever youngA Poem by InyourshadowJust how love blooms forever freshIn his eyes the image of the girl that he first met, untainted by the years of toil of hardship and regret. She is lightly dancing welcoming the spring, laughing in the meadow wearing his promise ring. flowers in her chestnut hair garnishing her face, eyes full of tomorrows lived at this happy pace. To see myself as he does through his wound back eyes, that forever see that walk beneath those moonlit skies. Seeing not my crowsfeet my grey hairs and puppyfat, oh for just one moment to see myself like that. For in his eyes I live and breath a young girl of seventeen, there recalled as his prom date and there after as his queen. © 2011 InyourshadowAuthor's Note
