A BlanketA Poem by Hecate ZariahI wrote this poem for my AP English class, the point was to take something small and make it a big deal. The second part was for the class to figure out what that thing was, and I set it as the title.Your gentle softness wraps around me,
Like make-shift arms of protection. The night is dark, cold and lone-some, But with you here I feel warm. The warmth but mine of course, Though whispers soft wishes to the presence of another. To lay like this for a life-time wouldn't be so bad, If not for the wishes for who belongs at my side. Lone-some now, and lone-some still, Until the night his presence nears. © 2013 Hecate ZariahAuthor's Note
