What you don't know is I was lying,

When I found out you're with her I started dying,

I bottle up my hurt inside,

All I want to do is hide,

I showed you the darkest side of me,

The side fueled by jealousy,

I'm sorry for hurting you,

I hope you see the regret in my eyes is true,

I'm sorry I wasn't a better girlfriend,

And that I allowed our relationship to end,

I'm sorry I let you see

The darkest half of me,

And finally I'm sorry for all my lies,

For hiding behind a disguise,

I hope you'll forgive me.

Truly written straight from your heart, I pictured this in my head when reading the poem, you take the reader to that place. The fact that this is written straight from your heart makes it so much better, as the best poems come from the heart. The emotion was so raw and real, had great depth and meaning.
I'm sure many people have gone though this and felt the same way so its relatable to.
Also rhymed extremely well. All comes together quite nicely, loved this write :)
