King

King

A Poem by Darkened_drear

Spiny vineyards snaking up iced stone carved by the hands of a fallen king's men
Weathering away to nothing and abandoned in war
A silent symbol lit only by lonesome moonlight peering through shattered shards
Ruins to a greedy royal who lead his warriors and to certain death
He had not a care as long as the walls shielded him from the fire, blades, and battle
As the last soul was taken
He was too .beheaded as he sat defeated on his throne
