Addiction

Wash it all away

Take those pills

And flush them from your life

To push forward and  find the purpose

They drown

 

Scream until you cant breathe anymore

As it all

Falls away

And you crawl

 

You slam

Your fist into

The drywall

Because

 

When you look in the mirror

You see

The past

And what its done

 

It took your family

And it took your home

It cut everything

That you cared for at all

 

IT doesnt care

What it takes

Or what it leaves

For

 

Its addiction

And its

The destruction

That leads nowhere

 

But straight to hell

On a hilllside

Beneath

Silent swaying pine

 

So save yourself
