Box of nails

Box of nails

A Poem by Darkened_drear

Boxed nails narrow bars
Steel cascade fluttering against flattering flesh
Borrowed time barring nature's free
Shattered soul with barren flares
Carcass cared away
A bred creature calculated by decay
Growing more frigid with everyday
Squirming for the light
For freedoms road of night
Clawing anxious for an sign of relief
Repairing ripped wings
In hoping of one day being able
To set the rules and standards for her own table
For her kindness is being killed
By the needy hands of ungrateful deviant sieves
