I'm Sorry

I'm Sorry

A Poem by Jessica

I’m Sorry

I’m sorry-

I’m not strong enough

To deal with everything going on.

I’m sorry-

I can’t seem to let the past go.

I’m sorry-

I’m not a good enough friend, sister, and daughter.

I’m sorry-

I’ve been wearing a mask

So that you won’t worry about me.

I’m sorry-

I haven’t given a straight answer about my feelings

For a while now-

Choosing to say, “I don’t know”

Instead of opening the floodgates.

I’m sorry-

I never should’ve pushed him for more than friendship.

I’d rather be just friends than have him uninvolved in my life.

I’m sorry-

I acted like such a b***h when I was thirteen and fourteen.

I’m sorry-

I don’t have the best control.

I’m sorry-

I’ve let everyone down.

This is really good;; it sounds like something I would write myself.
I really like how you kept repeating the phrase "I'm sorry-";; although you might want to consider making some of the stanzas longer;; but thats just my opinion.
Overall;; great write :)
