LingersA Poem by SpunkAbout someone I keep dreaming about..Your touch that always seems so real, My body endlessly craving to feel; Yet yearning my heart to heal.
Consciously knowing this is not what I want, Yet the dreams you still playfully haunt. Lingers like your breath, tickling my ear. Just waiting for you; I want to hear.
Though vengeance trickles through my veins. Pulsing with every waking pain; I’m so ashamed.
And when your face finally fades away, That uninvited touch remains to stay. Reminding me you’re not entirely forgotten, When the darkness surrounds me and then,
Here we go again. © 2011 Spunk |
