Under the TreeA Poem by Corinna BridgeburyOne dripping day...Dripping day And gray skies Black barked tree With green leaves Arched branches, interlaced Reaching out to the world The vibrant leaves drip Letting old rain finally fall. Slight figure leans beneath Pale and wan. Bright green eyes One point of color full of like introspective. With a brooding certainty she kicks the turf. And the rain falls down. © 2008 Corinna Bridgebury |
