High School

High School

A Poem by Corinna Bridgebury

The hallways at school

Are like a river

With currents and cross currents

They're like a road

With separate lanes

They are a changing, moving

Mass of humanity

Where he loves her

But she hates him

And the other is too afraid to speak.

Everything will change tomorrow

But it will still be a river

And a road.

I like how you compared high school to a river. Very good! I think a lot of people can relate to this writing!
