Why do I do this?
Seek love from a man

Why do I do this?
Wish for my prince to come?

I have received so much love
From friends
From family
The unwavering type of love
That I wish to receive
In a man
In a lover
Someone that I could give my all

But here I sit
Wishing for him still
When all I've tried
All I've done
In the past has given me
Heartbreak
Pain
Loss of feeling
Loss of trust
The feeling of wanting to die
To not feel anymore
To wish for numbness
Sweet, beautiful numbness
