Whenever A Youth Walks ByA Poem by IntrepidSugarWhenever a youth walks by, guilt upon like clouds seems to be shading me. Whilst carrying my child, my source of love, joy, and everything I desire. Yet it feels so wrong. To be feeling guilty of decisions that were made. So young. So blind. Decisions that have strayed me from a path to a somewhat fulfilling life. A life without having to feel guilty of having become a parent of such a young life. And to that child, all I can foretell is that he will somewhat have what I denied. To reach the sky and be shone upon by stars so bright that could get you blind. A different meaning of blind, success and fulfilled life. Out of denial and harbour to cry. Had I a chance to alter what's already lived a life. I would so choose what is so desired. © 2024 IntrepidSugar |
