Failed in the game of life

Every night she thinks about killing herself and every morning she wakes up wondering why she didn't...

She cries every night 

thinking she's a looser,

she sits down alone 

thinking everyone hates her,

she eats once a day 

thinking she's too fat,

she goes into the woods 

thinking she'll get lost,

she cuts every morning

hoping her beat will stop,

she sleeps every night 

knowing she's still alive.

Now this poem. Is raw heartfelt and so true. It really touches the nerve of the subject of suicides and the reasons why people do it. Want to kill themselves. But in their eyes failed. And so glad they did. And never went through with the ultimate act of death. The loneliness and despair and isolation and overwhelming hurt and unloved you feel. Echoes inside this poem.

After a childhood of constant abuse & raping, I was suicidal for many years. Your poem comes the closest to anything I've ever seen, as far as describing how my futile thoughts would get stuck in this sad loop. I didn't cut, but there are many ways to harm ourselves with similar feelings & results. This is utterly sad & heavy to most drastic level . . . poignant heartfelt writing! (((HUGS))) fondly, Margie
