Because even you told me

It's me or the life of an artist

I lay down on bed and start laughing like crazy

You making me choose but for what

Why you making me choose

Please stay here with me

You leave,

And so

I remain by myself

I can't help it

Drugs help me

There's no in-between of my career and a girl

I chase my dreams and i fast-forward this life

I've never been in a longterm relationship like marriage, but watching the many who struggle with it, I must say it must be impossible for a couple to decide whether to put love or money first. Your poem suggests there's often one who thinks love should come first & another who thinks the pursuit of money has to be foremost -- after all, isn't money what couples fight about most & break up over? So maybe you can't separate or choose between the two. Still, it sucks that the "star" of the relationship (breadwinner or the one with the more "impressive" career) often gets to call these shots & this is why your poem reminds me why I could never subjugate myself to another's career (that is, when I was very much into my own career) . . . If you love someone you don't make them choose. Forcing them to make decisions. They should do that entirely of their own accord. That's where I travelled to when reading these lines. Your poem also made me reflect on past relationships.
