HIM

HIM

A Poem by Intothemilkyway

Im stuck between those memories

I replay them over and over again

Like im stuck in a whirlpool of never ending scenarios

It's impossible to forget when each time i open my eyes and close them

Before me he appears

I can't get you out of my mind

When we had something so deep

This is such a wonderful poem. The way you described this, I really got the feeling of being stuck and wanting it back and being lost in those old, good times. Each metaphor is a wonderful way of describing the narrator's feelings. A great poem. (:

I'm happy to hear that, and it was my pleasure. (:
The wordcrafting I love most here: "stuck in a whirlpool of never ending scenarios" and "when we had something so deep" . . . the whirlpool imagery is great shorthand to evoke a huge feeling of grinding on a thing . . . and the very last word "deep" could be interpreted in a variety of ways, not always so positive, like perhaps this relationship went deep, as in taking this narrator DOWN!" Even tho the narrator is seemingly fixated on "good times" it feels like a bad addiction in disguise. Very true-to-life for the way some people get fixated by another person who isn't that good for them (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
