The worst is falling for a person who doesn't return the same feelings.

When i loved you
I cried.
When i loved you i
Would watch the stars.
I would pray for you to be mine.
But no matter how much i would pray
The stars never granted me that wish.
Were they right?
Did he not belong to me?
There's no maybe.
The answer is just clear.
You don't deserve this love.
You loved me and went like a coward.
Like a dog with his tail down.
You once told me that you " Love Me"
Why did you go?
If, you loved me ?
My heart is half empty now.
If only you had seen my eyes.
Just once,
You would fall so deep.
With no way out.

Unrequited love is so painful. When a certain other can't feel what you feel, doesn't see what you see. You have written on a universal theme here that will be relatable to many. Maybe they don't deserve all that loving and I am inclined to think in my more years that there are plenty who would welcome it gladly. Nicely conveyed.

I can't remember ever wanting a person this much. I've always been of the mind, if a person doesn't want me, then I'm better off without him. It literally hurts me to read a poem like this, the way some people torture themselves over a person who clearly does not care anymore. You've nailed the pining sensations (especially second-guessing oneself, which is so sad!) -- all done so intensely, I kinda hate reading about it! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Im like you too Margie, i think so too. But there's nothing wrong with giving your whole self or your love to someone else. You should do what makes you happy.
Too much love or kindness is never bad. One day you gonna be granted by the beautiful gift of having it back.

So many want the ones that really didn't notice or care about them and disdain the ones that did. People DO get angry but they sit on their hands and listen to the "oh so reasonable" quips given for the hurts.

Nicely written; you're better off, if the other person doesn't feel what you feel so intensely, there's no use, the people who stick around in relationships when they know they don't feel the same way are the worst, and the ones that chicken out at the first hint of trouble, I've felt the same, felt love so strong, in my case for a person I didn't know all that well, it made me think nothing and no one could hurt me again, I was high off of it, and then it turned out she was just playing games, didn't really feel all that in love, I waited, wishing that would change, it didn't, in a day or two, she moved on, here I am, stupid old me, who still thinks of her, unable to fully move on. That made me get into using drugs, it's only been a while since I've quit hashish and heroin. I'm rambling now; top score.

Moving on is one of the hardest things to do. But we have to for our own good. Think of it , feelings are just something our brain makes.
Isn't the heart supposed to do one job and yet here we are

Indeed :) Hence the drugs, I kept searching for that feeling elsewhere. Never really loved anyone again with that intensity before. Fear had something to do with it. Also, the scrambled brain cells, haha :)

I think women commit themselves more often to love someone body and soul... men are more likely to just want physical conquest. But it's hard to generalise - I have been hurt many times too.

'Like a dog with his tail down' is a vivid image... with the double meaning of 'tail down'. The excitement of arousal had gone.

I liked the heartfelt honest of this writing, laying bare the feelings...

For some it is not possible, or they turn in on themselves. For others, and especially women, I think, there is an endless and renewable source of love that comes to the surface again, even after bitter disappointment.

Indeed. I think the same. Too bad some people just lose the opportunity. But we as humans hopefully we may find better people.
