Lizard

Love or not a man remains the same till the end. If he changed it means you never knew him. Or you just decided to ignore the signs. Red Flags are everywhere. Open your eyes.

Lied to me

Said that you love me 

Your words are dry 

You pull out your tongue and taste me

For you ,iam just food you have been craving for long

Cold Blooded but you can't control me

Taste me as much as you want

Baby iam soeur you won't like it 

You are still weak  and that's all you will be

You don't show any signs 

But i still understand it

Warm in the morning and cold in the night

You shined in the beginning 

But become dull after

You look around at everything

And once you have eaten your food

You move on to the next one.

Author's Note

I wanted to make something short actually but it came out long.
I think iam not suited for short poems cause i just can't seem to find the right words for them.
It just ends up being a story :P
But it's ok since like this you can understand what i want to portray more than you would in a short one.

You won't believe it but i just read about lizards and plus watched a short youtube video just to get inspiration about this poem.

I love the subtle connection between "cold-blooded" and "lizard" . . . your words tiptoe & skitter, with little stops here & there to do some pushups like lizards do. After watching westerns lately (where men only relate to women as w****s), your poem makes me wonder if women have progressed much, being treated to the respect of matrimony. Some men are lizards, snacking on a woman as long as another more luscious snack doesn't happen by (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

That's true. I think tho the society has made quite a progress. But since everyone is different we can't just put a dot on it.
