Echoes

Echoes

A Poem by Dawn Jones

I want to go

I want to run

Away from here

Away from this empty place

This hollow, empty place

With its four white walls

And the echoes

All the echoes

Echoes that drive me to madness

The sound of your voice burning my ear

I have to go

I have to run

To be free of this eternal torment

Torturing

Ripping

Burning

Timeless torment driving me mad

YES I CAN HEAR YOU!

Screaming in my ear

Tearing my flesh

Burning my soul with your bitter love

Your lying love

I wish I could go

I wish I could run

But the chains around my heart keep me

Torturing myself with your memory

Awesome! I think this may be my favourite from the ones you've posted tonight.
Echoes can be just as deafening as silence and memories.
