The Water SpoutA Poem by Dawn JonesMoments Just moments Sitting Watching Talking Not talking Letting the world slip away As I stare at an empty wall with nothing on my mind And everything racing through my thoughts I haven’t decided if thinking about you is good Or is it bad Or am I simply lost Lost in the thoughts of the young The thoughts of the dumb I choose not to think Not let it overwhelm my simple mind My already overwhelmed young mind But I let you make me feel good I let you in enough to make it all go away And it is like letting in the sun to dry up all the rain And I find myself climbing the water spout again © 2011 Dawn JonesReviews
