The Water Spout

The Water Spout

A Poem by Dawn Jones

Moments

Just moments

Sitting

Watching

Talking

Not talking

Letting the world slip away

As I stare at an empty wall with nothing on my mind

And everything racing through my thoughts

I haven’t decided if thinking about you is good

Or is it bad

Or am I simply lost

Lost in the thoughts of the young

The thoughts of the dumb

I choose not to think

Not let it overwhelm my simple mind

My already overwhelmed young mind

But I let you make me feel good

I let you in enough to make it all go away

And it is like letting in the sun to dry up all the rain

And I find myself climbing the water spout again

First off, I LOVE the picture you used, it's wicked! Suits this very well!

Slipping moments I can relate too, aswell as
"As I stare at an empty wall with nothing on my mind
And everything racing through my thoughts
I haven’t decided if thinking about you is good
Or is it bad
Or am I simply lost"

I loved "And it's like letting in the sun to dry up all the rain" also. :D

(lol sorry, most of this review is just me quoting your writing, I love it, I can't say much more than that :D)
