The Lies About TimeA Poem by hannahspelledbackwardsshattered (v.):
So here you are, You beckon me, You reach your hand towards me now And I can't speak. And so it goes Like it's always told: "You never know What you've got 'til it's gone." That sure is getting old. You admit your heart; It didn't seem that hard For you to open up To me, well, you went too far. And time sure does beat us all It didn't seem to catch me at my fall. "Time heals all wounds," Thats what they say, But I still wear your bruise. Can you really tell me That your thoughts point right at me? I can't believe the nerve you've got Don't you see how my heart still hurts? But I'm not done No you haven't won. You act as if you never said it; From this, you can't run. I'm not a doll- No I'm not at all What you think. I've changed since the time you knocked down all my walls. And to think you've changed. Fool, you're still the same, And you'd think that I'd sit here and wait on you? That's such a pity shame. Alas, wait! Wait once more. You never saw the light dim in my eyes when my heart, you tore. And to think that you can tell me your heart then let me be, Is the most abominable excuse for a soul that wants to be free. Take me as I am or leave with nothing at all.
