Liar, LiarA Poem by hannahspelledbackwards"Liar, liar.. you never called. But I'll be just fine, yeah, I'm fine; sleep well." -LydiaYou're familiar. I see it on your face
You'd never play this game You'd never thought to play it until today And you're hoping for the best, But he gets inside your head, and he's who lives to deliver you your pain But don't you know you can leave tonight? Don't you remember how it feels to feel the light? Because within your mind, there's lies. It's like the ocean tide: The waves, they range from high to higher And he looks into your eyes, and lies. His tongue, I despise. It's what charms you in his lies. I've seen it all before. It's like I'm on a tour Of the places that I go through everyday. And you want so bad to leave, But you've stayed so long it seems And its in your head that you deserve this fate. I know you want to leave tonight. I know you remember how it feels within the light. Because within your mind, there's lies. It's like the ocean tide: The waves, they range from high to higher And he looks into your eyes, and lies. His tongue, I despise. It's what charms you in his lies. I know it's hard to say goodbye Despite that it's all you've ever known. Don't trade your life For empty promises and a broken soul. He'll drive you in With words that he can never act upon. Run to the One with open arms, He's loved you all along. One day you'll find his lies, Inside his unswallowed pride. Suspicions raise from high to higher. For you to be completely his tonight, He'll swear he's on your side. But he was born to lie. © 2011 hannahspelledbackwardsAuthor's Note
