From A Soft Summer's DrizzleA Poem by Chemical KittenI had to write a poem for my english II class, and it had to include ‘I use to be,’ and ‘But now I am,’ and here is the result. Short and simple.
I use to be a raindrop
Fallen in a soft summer's drizzle Soaked up by the thirsty earth So that spring's last flower's might prevail But the wilted that I so longed to heal They took advantage and they drained me dry Until there wasn't hardly anything left For my journey back to the clouds But now I am a thunderstorm Roaring and raging through the night Without so much a second glace At tiny wind-battered flowers © 2013 Chemical KittenAuthor's Note
