Page 28A Chapter by InterijentoWritesElle refused to look up at Troy. She kept her eyes on Isobella, smiling sweetly, running her hand over the small child's forehead and little hairs, and flattening them to her head. Troy tapped his foot impatiently. He was always easily frustrated with Elle, especially when she didnt answer him when he spoke to her. "Elizabeth." Of course, Elle's silence only further proved that something was wrong. "I-i dont know how to explain it." She said softly, her cheeks flushing. Troy sighed, sitting down on the edge of the bed. "Tell me in any way you can, Elizabeth." She sighed, looking up to him. Thankfully, Conley's silver eyes werent there. Troy smiled encouragingly. "I keep seeing his eyes." Troy looked at her oddly for a moment, then nodded with recognition. "Ah. Is that what you saw earlier on the sofa?" Elle nodded in agreement. "Yea. And I keep seeing them in place of yours." That concerned Troy, and the look was hardly mistakable on his face. "I dont understand." Troy said, his voice shaky. "I see his eyes when I look at yours." "What about right now?" He asked cautiously. Elle simply shook her head, looking back down at Isobella. Unsure what to do with himself, Troy walked from the room, his hand to his forehead in frustration. Elle stared after him, sighing unhappily. She then looked to Isobella, comforting her. "Its alright. He will come back." She reassured the child. Though, Elle was pretty sure she was consoling herself. After a few minutes, she heard footsteps enter the room. She smiled knowingly and looked up. Though, what she saw wasnt Troy. He walked over and placed his hand on Isobella's forehead, his silver eyes penetrating deep into Elle's soul. "She's beautiful- just like her mother." © 2012 InterijentoWrites |
