After five long hours of labor, Elle finally gave birth to a healthy baby girl. She now laid in the recovery unit, holding her newborn baby in her arms. Troy sat nearby, and Emily had left nearly two hours ago to take Liberty home- poor thing had fallen asleep so many times.

 

Elle's red hair stuck to the sides of her face and the mascara she had applied earlier this evening was now streaked down the sides of her face. A nurse had told her she would come back and help Elle clean herself up. That had been over an hour ago.

 

"What are you going to name her?" Troy asked.

 

Elle looked up, and watched him thoughtfully. She truly hadnt thought of a name yet. Up until an hour ago, Elle hadnt even known the gender. How was she supposed to have picked a name?

 

"I dont know." She said softly, looking back at the small child's face, putting her cheek to the baby's small forehead. "She's so soft." She whispered, kissing the baby's forehead.

 

Then, it hit Elle. "What about Isobella?" Elle asked.

 

Troy smiled- a genuinely happy smile. "That's perfect, Sweetie." He reassured her. "She looks like a Isobella."

 

"Bella for short." Elle said softly.

 

Troy nodded in agreement. "I wish Emily hadnt left so early."

 

"She has her own child to think about. I dont blame her."

 

Troy gave her a funny look. "I dont blame her either. I just wish your best friend had been able to witness the whole thing." He explained.

 

Elle nodded gently. "I suppose." She paused for a moment, kissing Bella's forehead. "It's alright, though. Emily will be a huge part of Bella's life."

 

Troy smiled the way a proud father would. "We all will." He said softly. "Even me."

 

Elle looked up. It seemed as though a different voice had added the second part. When Elle met Troy's eyes, the silver one's were in place once more. "Damnit." She said softly, looking down.

 

Troy looked at her in a strange, yet cautious way. He remembered how she had acted earlier. "Are you alright, Elizabeth?"
