Ronán, My True CompanionA Poem by Deep MeaningFor you...sweet Ronán.
You are the one who makes me smile when my eyes bawl.
You are the one who lifts me off the bus aisle when I fall. You are the one who has that versatile style that makes me run a mile to the Nile. Ronán, why were you such a pinche cabron? Ronán, why didn't you answer the phone? Today, yesterday, the day before, and even the day before that I append! You sent me to voicemail like I wasn't even your friend! Then again, I suppose it was only pretend? Only when there was a crowd did you come to defend, My puny, skinny, scrawny body that you could probably bend. Bend what, you ask? Let me shed some light so you can bask. Remember the time you said that I was your best friend? At the time I couldn't even comprehend Why I would be the one you would befriend... But I suppose that in the end, I would recommend, To myself or anybody else in this trend, Do not depend on a friend who wouldn't even spend Even a few seconds to congratulate or commend On all the time you preciously spent on them. I knew that you would forget about me as soon as you left to that place. That place where our culture is a disgrace. <------------------- (See "I am Not Polish) What did I do to you that would make you displace, Our entire friendship at such a fast pace? Is it because I let you get to third base?! Is it because I let you into my personal space?! I remember the familiar warmth of your embrace... I remember the Sorry everybody, the poem ends here. It seems as if his phone was turned off for a few days due to the vacation he took. Whoops. © 2013 Deep Meaning |
