Shattered Self

Shattered Self

A Poem by Princ3ss_26
"

The unexplainable can not be explained. Hurt, sadness, solace, all felt at once for no reason at all.

"

Have you ever felt so closed in that space doesn't even matter?

Everything around seems insignificant now and you slowly drown under water.

Your heart still beats but you can't feel it.

Your body is there and your soul is empty.

The sadness begins to crawl up your spine and swallows you whole.

This unforsaken feeling of doubt and hurt.

You beat yourself up thinking that is the solution.

You continue knocking on the door towards the future but it is sealed shut with lock, key and various passwords.

Where are you?

Where do you wish to go?

You shut people out

You wish to be alone

Complain all you want about what your heart needs.

But have you had a second to even consider why it needs anything at all?

Distraught.

Fight with one self.

This is a beautiful piece. It seems like a piece so truthful pouring from your heart. I have been there in that same place, felt those same feelings and it sucks. Keep fighting through it, only you can change the feelings with time :)
