One Nation

We need to find an end to this madness.

The moment has arrived to think about that time when everything seemed great.
No problems, concerns or crap to worry about, nothing but childish games.
You know those moments where mom was always around.
When problems were hidden and you never frowned.
The times when going to the park was fun.
But now all you do is run,
From the gunshots, the violence.
The peace breakers taking the innocence of our young now lost generation.
Why not try to keep our childish ways?
And wish to feel the sun's rays
On you.
Warming your skin.
Comforting you from within.
It's a wonder that nothing ever lasts.
Instead we get sent messages directly from our pasts.
Remembering what once was good.
From the music, the people, and especially the food.
But nothing ever could.
Be the same again.
Our troubles continue to grow.
With no room to find solutions, you know?
Why must we all be in constant fight?
Is there something you're trying to prove with all your might?
It's not working.
All of this can be avoided if we attempt a chance at peace.
A chance where everyone can get along and find their release.
Their feelings, thoughts and ideas for improvement.
It's not too late to make this movement.
Let's exist together in harmony.
Not together in the battlefield like an army.
I'm not asking for Kumbaya and hippie rituals.
I'm looking for a nation who wants to find equality, fairness and great education to break this constant cycle.
Together is how we can create better leaders who want nothing more than to unite this world as one.

This is an inspiring write Katherine. You are wise, kind, and caring. I was thinking that maybe you would make a good politician....but you are too good for that! lol
