Untold Secrets

Untold Secrets

A Poem by Catherine Frain

Scars line my flesh,

like mile markers along the highway.

Some faded, some pink.

Untold secrets

that are only told by the scars

that now line my wrist.

Nightmares,

Haunted Thoughts, Depression,

All of which went untreated,

Unnoticed is what caused these.

Untold secrets

that are only told by the scars

that now line my wrist.

I hide behind the screens of

long-sleeves and fake smiles.
