Broken ShacklesA Poem by MarkSometimes a person can be redeemed in love I think. at least, I'd like to believe it.Golden rays with power to blind. Giants of stone bending the light. Your silouette hiding your eyes, I watch the sun stream around and from behind your head. Bent light touches your hair forming shapes. In the morning misty cool air I see the dream I once had then forgot, now before me shadowed by a new Sun. You are the one to set me straight. I am the one who is your fate. We stand together and we know now is the time... never to be alone. I felt the tug on a heart grown sore I was the rug near the foot stomped door Then you came, and I felt ashamed I watched as you pulled me from the floor. I stand in awe, I pray in grateful streams to a reality between universal seams. I can't believe you really picked me, Marked in shackles, my wrists now free. You are the one, me and you. I had fallen, now whole and true. Together we clasp and we know in our time... never again alone.
