A very good poem. I believe was a song somewhere in time that stated. "Thought it was love,"
I like the flow of thoughts and how you ended the excellent poetry.

Thought I could be,
everything for you.

I just wanted it true..........this stanza struck home with me......So often we do try to be everything for the one we love when we actually just need to be who we are. In unconditional love we love each other as we are. This is beautiful Mark.
This is such a beautiful poem Mark and it flows so nicely.
"Thought it was love,
it turned out wrong,
thought we could sing,
but it wasn't our song."
The honesty and emotion behind this just screams wonderfulness!
