Seasons of Love
A Poem by
Mark
I've always been fascinated with beginnings, endings, cycles.
I could taste the reasons in the flavor of seasons. You ran through me like ice in Spring. I was the lone mountain watching a flowing fountain. Thirsty for love; you made me sing. Tangled up, two souls sometimes make two holes aching when cut where we did cling. Feeling your heart still, the healed scars fill the cold hollow Winter will bring.

Imagery that exudes the pain of the heart and soul. I hear the cries, feel the pain and know too well the game.

Hey, I'm not going to let you forget! We'll have to do many more. :)
I sense a union and comparison (metaphor if you like) between the year and a life .. and deeply experienced. You've led me into a place that needs thinking about, understanding if possible - and private, tangled yet lyrical. Reading aloud, a second time, i find it intensely personal,
'I could taste the reasons in the flavor of seasons' - each time is its own embellished aftertaste thats for sure.

Thank you so much Moon :)
Great poem Mark! I love anything resembling the seasons, it equates so well with relationships. The line 'You ran through me like ice in spring' is inspired! Enjoyed it thanks.

Thanks Cathy, I've always equated the seasons to human emotions. ;)
