When it All Feels Wrong

Was listening to music and the rhythm sparked an idea, and out came this poem. Hope you enjoy.

I'm done again, this hopeless race. 
I look for you in the dying Sun. 
Falling West, into that familiar place. 
Wanting you, and so I'm  undone.

I hope for the best 
I leave all the rest 
I look for your face 
I'm a hopeless case. 

My heart won't die 
but breaks all the time. 
I can't just leave it lie 
so I commit love's crime. 

If all this were just a movie 
If my heart only lived in a song 
I'd just be able to live the story 
then forget how it all feels wrong. 

I'm lost again, this endless pace. 
I look too hard into the Sun's glare. 
It burns and falls in it's cycled chase. 
I am caught in that hard blinding stare. 

I look to the west 
let it off my chest. 
I'd give up the race, 
but I'm a hopeless case. 

I can no longer lie, 
to myself about hope.
The anguished cry 
is just how I cope.

We all get days like this...

Must agree with my reviewing predecessors, your words do indeed read like a song... at least they do in my head.. a very catchy tune too, I might add... Am just wondering why we have never met before? Anyway.. I hope my visit kick starts a few more visits to this old page...

I really liked this part, this is a deep powerful read.
