Star Gazing

Star Gazing

A Poem by Mark
"

Inspired by Mazzy Star, 'Into Dust'

"
Why should the stars be so quiet?
Soft and solid, anchoring the sky.
Ancient waves traveling to us
Giving what we take.

I sit beside you, our silence is warm.
The vastness wants to overwhelm
I take and anchor,I touch and hold
You give me wordless acceptance

Life is too huge, too unquiet
I search for what I can give
In return for your love.
