Memories leftA Poem by MarkWas listening to a song by Lilly Cornell and this came out of meYou were like I was looking at the sun. Blinded 'til the light faded into the glory. I wish I'd known, but then I've grown, It would all still go the same way. I only wanted to make music, You were the mood, the notes, the violet tone I only wanted to play the songs entwined in the me and the you. The sun always fades moving over the horizon time pretending to be my friend. I lost, somehow I still gained. In the past I was whole You and I filling the sky The sky's gone now, you are the memory. I only wanted to make music, You were the mood, the notes, my only tone I only wanted to play the songs Entwined with me, wrapped around you.
