Vermin

Vermin

A Poem by Mark

I swept the day and looked for meaning,
but found only hardwood floors and honest ceilings.

No more would I go astray
in sticky lies, failed truths.

I wondered what I would find
if the cobwebs were gone
and no more vermin to hide.

Cold, clean, and alone
I live on the floor of light.

We've become such careless souls;
who can't tell what is truth anymore.

It isn't life that is complicated, it's the way mankind continues to overcomplicate what is a relatively simple equation.

Vermin indeed my friend.

Life can be hard to understand,
Everything is so sterile nowadays,
You put it very well...paddy.
