Shared Life

Shared Life

A Poem by Mark

Where you came from
where you go,
Connect the dots of time,
share these moments.

Touched, touching
in our journey through time
gathered in by family and friends
yet we hang, by alone.

waiting on the freeze;
a particular defining present.
Stop waiting on the big one;
build a life from small moments.

Deep in the stillness
of a well worn life
we only live in the streaks
of shared memories.

Live. Don't wait.

I was away for a while too and must have missed some of your writing Mark. This is so poignant to me as my kids have flown the nest and spend little effort to stay in touch.
