bringing Spring

bringing Spring

A Poem by Mark
"

I never thought I'd say it but enough Winter!

"
So if I shake, it's just a chill;
remains left of bony fingered Winter.

I keep my eyes closed so
I can bring Spring around me.

I tug at my sweater and
fill my head, heart, and soul.

I gather and build a fact.
The Sun WILL warm me.

Fine write with a affirmative last line...

Does one need kindling to build a fact? Thanks for a peek at Spring, so tired of this snow....enough already!

Is the change in the air more profound, I mean from Winter to Spring more so than any other change or is it just a state of mind, I can almost feel it even here where the weather is so bland, anyway nice poem mark, short and to the point.

Ah spring. That mean's it's dark later. So I have to wait to sneak around outside

I'm in Virginia, and for me, it's been a loooonnnngggg, very cold winter! Lady Ann must be tough!! And I generally love cold weather!

About the poem, I like it. It's short and sweet. Many of us can relate to it! Probably most people in the nation!

Very nice read.

Wave when you come up 81 tomorrow!

Sitting braced for another winter storm...my bags are packed with flip flops and hula skirts. Done with this nonsense....taking the first plane to Hawaii or Belize before I go mad. Im picking Frieda up on the way...I say we start a poets exodus to soft sands and sunshine!! You in?? ;-)

This poem inspires me to dream upon spring some more. Actually, I have been rebelling against winter this past month by filling my house with spring flowers and painting my nails hot pink. :) Spring on!
