To the Wind

To the Wind

A Poem by Mark

I gave my blood
spilled and cold
it sat

I took your love,
mixed it in.

Rumors.... high in the flying wind
will never disperse
only rise again and again

I'd wished I could but
never ever knew
what was in that heart of gold

I sat and pondered
long and hard...

had we stopped to care?
I asked why we couldn't dare.

The Earth is lax
and the sky is fat
but all in all
it's only dangerous til we die.

I'd love all that's human
if I knew it was only blood
It's the parts we don't see
makes me need you mixed with me.

Love the splendid work.
You added blood to love and acted like an experienced supernatural druggist or chemist.
The idea is really excellent.
Congratulations,Mark!!!
Wish you a very Happy New Year 2014!

You are most welcome :)
We are but humans to steal a phrase dust in the wind. Loved your reference to a heart of gold but visually I found this stanza to be the most memorable:

Rumors.... high in the flying wind
will never disperse
only rise again and again

There is truth and wisdom in those words.

Thanks blue, your insight always warms me.
Well there certainly aren't any zephyrs in this one....darkly colored side of you Mark.

Your penchant to fixate on a word I guess.

Ha I'm obsessive compulsive, what do you expect? ;-)
Another very melancholy and flowing write until the final stanza which I struggled with Mark?
