Inertia

Inertia

A Poem by Mark
"

It's just so easy to stay in the rut

"
I feel the heavy stone wheel
pulling me back.
In chains soothing, I fight the sleep.

So easy, just put down the struggle
change is too much, too hard, too...
unknown.

Rolling inertia grows
gathering the moss of my intentions
grinding down my will
to move forward.

Inward screams,
muscles flexed
I must MOVE
before the stone becomes a mountain.

I felt the lethargy in these words and the inner struggle to fight the guilt and move forward. Nicely done Mark

Thanks John. :)
Very cool Jacob. At times it is difficult to get going, to tackle what lies ahead, but once we put our mind to it, it usually ends up being easier than we had thought.
