A Journey

A Journey

A Poem by Mark

I am moving toward the veil
always moving along
the road keeps me sane

Charting stars and running
Laughing at the rain
Loving you in vain

Family love
warm and familiar
separated by pain

What is fair?
What is there
to learn again?

I had my doubts
my moments of anger
doused by love's disdain

I will pass through
and find what I lost
but what will I have gained?

Thanks for reading Blue :)
Family love

If only we could learn to forgive and do it simultaneously. LOL

ya, I think the best we can do is accept and love. :) thanks for reading.
Through love and pain we learn, but we're not always sure what until long after. What we lose and gain helps us in that journey and it's not always smooth roads and clear skies and sometimes the answers are in the stops that we make along the way. Nicely done.

thanks so much for your thoughtful review :)
No matter what, there is always a highway that will lead us somewhere...though they are not always coated in asphalt. The cool thing is...there are many we have yet to travel. Very well done Mark.

I would have guessed, aha. Yes, fingerscrossed, eh?
Lots of introspection in this one, contemplating where we've been and how love has formed our lives and attitude always makes for good food for thought...tango on my friend.

Thanks for reading :)
Going through a "journey" of my own Mark so my first reaction to this was tears. But on deeper examination I think this piece is about the general journey called life. We are all moving towards the "veil". The question of what we will have gained is the eternal mystery really. Great piece and I love the pic.
